The third warship of the same Stavropol type will be delivered within the timeframe stipulated in the state contract, he added.
To date, “plans to continue construction of the Project 21631 corvettes or their modifications are still unclear,” the company chief said.
“If a decision on the construction is taken, the project of the modernized ship can be prepared in less than six months and we have prepared the ground for it,” Mistakhov said.
“Currently, nine ships of this project: the lead ship Grad Sviyazhsk and the mass-produced corvettes Uglich, Veliky Ustyug, Zelyony Dol, Serphukhov, Vyshny Volochyok, Orekhovo-Zuyevo, Ingushetia and Graivoron are already operational in the Russian Navy while three other ships, the Grad, the Naro-Fominsk and the Stavropol are under construction in the holds of the shipyard, “he said.
